Katelyn Harold | Private Voice Teacher & Theatre Mentor
Welcome to Coachings with Katelyn!
I’m Katelyn Harold, a Private Voice Teacher & Theatre Mentor from Bethpage, NY. Here at Coachings with Katelyn, I specialize in all things Private Voice Lessons & Theatre Mentorship - from Private Voice Lessons, to Web Building For Creatives, The Dance Prescreen Process, and more. I’m a Certified Private Voice Teacher, having completed the 50-Hour Voice Teacher Training & Certification Course at New York Vocal Coaching. I’ve taught masterclasses in Web Building For Creatives and Audition Technique at Molloy University and the Long Island High School For The Arts, sharing my passion for this art form with the next generation of artists.
In May 2024 I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Musical Theatre and Minor in Arts Management. I’ve performed in regional houses such as The John W. Engeman Theatre in productions such as Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and Come From Away. Through these incredible on-stage experiences, I had the opportunity to portray lead roles, swing on nightly with minimal notice, and step into supporting roles as a replacement. All these experiences allowed me to learn about this fascinating industry and provide me with the necessary tools I’ll carry throughout my career. The same tools I’m so excited and eager to share with all of YOU!
My mission is simple- to provide QUALITY arts education and guidance to all creatives at any point in their pursuit of the arts.
Growing up, music and performance was just oozing out of me. There’s home videos of me singing Cher’s “Dark Lady” at four years old, or as Sharpay Evans with a three foot long blonde wig in my kindergarten play. Dad always played rock music on our drive home from school, and from a young age I was exposed to music and genres of all kinds. As a guitar player, he mesmerized us with his “Eruption” by Van Halen. My Uncle Al, an awarded comedian on Long Island, taught me from a young age that there’s no fear in sharing your humor with a 300 seat audience. From a young age, my exposure to music and the arts instilled in me a great sense of confidence and courage to pursue this path - and share my deep love of the arts with people of all ages.
It wasn’t easy for my parents, though. As two parents that worked full-time jobs and got home late, weekly dance and acting classes weren’t in the cards. They were costly and time consuming, a commitment my parents couldn’t make at that time. However, with my education at the Long Island High School For The Arts, I started taking weekly Tap, Jazz, and Ballet classes that created a strong foundational dance training for me. I was in classes such as “Creating an Audition Book” and “Audition Prep” that helped me soar in college + beyond. Thanks to LIHSA, I was able to take the cards I was dealt in life and make magic with them - magic that set me on a path to provide for others what I couldn’t have at a young age.
That’s why I started Coachings with Katelyn - to create equitable access to arts education, no matter your age, level, or location!
Outside of teaching and performing, I love taking barre/pilates classes, sitting around the kitchen table with family and friends, and watching The Sopranos! To me, the best moments in life are spent with my loved ones.
